Demetria Demetria "Demi" Lovato was born in Dallas, Texas. Her parents are Patrick Martin Lovato and Dianna Dela Garza. Demi first began her career by playing a role as a kid on the television show 'Barney & Friends.' It was then that they were cast in the Disney Channel short called "As the Bell Rings" before landing the leading role in the movie Camp Rock. Demi Lovato created three songs for Camp Rock's soundtrack while filming the film. Her music has been released on several singles since. Lovato landed the role of Sonny with a Chance in 2009 as well as another Disney Channel program.
