Alexandra Raisman

Aly Raisman was a U.S. Olympic captain of the team who took home gold in the year 2012. Aly Raisman has the distinction of having six Olympic medals, and two World Championships gold medals. Aly is a native of Massachusetts discovered her love for gymnastics at just 18 months. She participated in a mommy and Me class. Aly is an inspirational leader both when she's on the floor and off and is a passionate champion of body positivity. This was evident recently, as she came out in support of Larry Nassar in his sentencing trial. Aly Raisman, born in 1994, began her gymnastics career as when she was a child. She helped with the U.S. team to win the 2011 World Championships. Aly Raisman won two medals during 2012 at the London Summer Olympics in London, one for the team and another for the floor exercise. In 2016, Raisman returned to compete in the Olympics in Rio and won silver medals in the single all-around final, as well as the floor exercise as well as a gold medal in the women's gymnastics team competition. In the year 2017, Raisman revealed she had endured sexual abuse at hands of former team physician Larry Nassar, and the subsequent year, she sued USA Gymnastics and the U.S. Olympic Committee.
